Challenge:
The State of Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) needed a facility information system with the capacity to view facilities enterprise-wide and enable collaborative workflow of agency functions for the DEP staff.

Penobscot Bay Media’s Solution:
In response to this challenge, Penobscot Bay Media is in the process of completing an advanced Spatial Data Viewer for an enterprise Facility Information System at the State of Connecticut. The Spatial Viewer enables a cross-departmental view of facilities and their permitted features, enabling a collaborative workflow of agency functions for the State’s DEP staff. Developed in Flash and C#, this viewer features an innovative user interface design, complete with a rich toolset for advanced spatial analysis, facility and facility feature editing, custom annotation, and cartographic product creation.
